Alexa Garza

 

Alexa grew up dancing and cheering and in high school became a member of her high school drill team. She served as a two year First Lieutenant for the Sterling Stars Varsity Drill Team at Naaman Forest High School and graduated in 2013. 

Following graduation, Alexa went on to become a member of the 74th Line World Famous Kilgore College Rangerettes from 2013-2015. While a Rangerette, Alexa had the opportunity to perform in the McDonalds Thanksgiving Day Parade in Chicago, Dallas Cowboys Halftime Shows, Good Year Cotton Bowl Classic, the State Fair of Texas and the Austin State Capital. For the 75th Anniversary of Rangerettes, the 74th and 75th Lines had the privilege of traveling to Scotland and Ireland to perform at the University of Edinburgh and to be a part of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

Alexa joined the American Dance/Drill Team Staff in 2014 and has since taught numerous football and competition routines to middle school and high school drill teams across the state of Texas. In 2016, Alexa began teaching at Academy of Gymnastics & Dance in Lufkin, TX where she was a recreational and dance team instructor for three years. She began traveling with Spirit of America in 2017 to chaperone dancers during their week in New York City for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Alexa graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Hospitality Administration from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2018 and joined the CFD Staff in 2019.
