Geena Ngaaje

 

Originally from Cameroon, West Africa, Geena Driven has become a household name in the Dallas dance community. She is an accomplished choreographer, performer, and creative director. Over the last 20 years she has spent a great part of her career creating opportunities for dancers to discover, develop, and deploy their passion for dance. 

 

A visionary dance leader, she pioneered the Dallas Hip-Hop Dance Festival in 2012, Legacy Hip-Hop Dance Convention, and HYPE Choreographers Showcase. She is the owner and master choreographer of Hip Hop Heels, and also the former president of the Dance Council of North Texas. 

Geena and her endeavors have been featured on Fit Trip with Kimberly Westphall, Good Morning Texas, Fox 4 Good Day, The Dallas Morning News, The Dallas Examiner, WFAA Daybreak, and Al Extremo.  Some of her dance and choreography credits include Black Eyed Peas/Super Bowl XLV, Choctaw Casino, CNN Fit Nation, Miss Africa USA, Texas Legends Dancers, The Sideline Group, Chinatown Band, recording artist Torsha Lynn, Dallas Cowboys Club, Christmas at the Cathedral, Recess TV, Black Girl Ventures & Kim Crawford Wines. 

Most recently Geena served as the Production Director of Elevate Life Church in Frisco, and is the host of "Beyond The Dance Floor" with Geena Driven, a lifestyle podcast created to help dancers live a life driven by passion, motivated by excellence, and inspired by purpose. 

Whether she’s in front of a camera or behind it, she gets the most joy and fulfillment in inspiring others to create a life worth dancing for.
