From dancing at Disneyland to the Super Bowl to choreographing for The State Fair of Texas, each chance to embrace the stage has a special place in Meredith’s heart and is a piece of her story. She is passionate about creating, inspiring, and practicing grace in dance and throughout all of life. Meredith believes in teaching dancers confidence, self discipline, and life skills in the studio and empowering young dancers to realize their full potential in whatever they choose to do. 


Meredith Jones is an award-winning dancer and choreographer. She trains students of all ages in performance, technique, and style, and can prepare students of all levels for competition and auditions. She has a passion for dance, movement, and choreography that radiates through her unique style and contagious energy. Meredith is the director and creator of ELEVATE, Centre for Dance’s Pre-Professional Performing Company. She is the choreographer for the State Fair of Texas Illumination Sensation show held every night during the State Fair of Texas. Meredith is the creator of THEMOVEMENT dance intensive. Meredith graduated Cum Laude at Southern Methodist University. At SMU, she trained extensively in ballet and contemporary and choreographed for and danced in Meadows School of the Arts Brown Bag dance series. Meredith was a Hunt Scholar at SMU and served as president of Chi Omega sorority. While in college she had the opportunity to study abroad in Paris, France. In other college honors, Meredith was the featured dancer in the 2013, 2014, and 2015 editions of SMU Dallas Think Big Magazine. Meredith graduated SMU with a major in marketing and a minor in dance. After graduation, Meredith was selected to dance at Disneyland, entertaining crowds of up to 50,000 people a day. While in Los Angeles she also trained to be a certified barre instructor, and enjoys being able to fuse her passions of fitness, active living, and dance. Meredith has been the choreographer for professional auditions including Norwegian Cruise Lines and State Fair of Texas.  


Meredith has taught at studios in the DFW area and beyond. She was the Artistic Director and Pre-Professional Performing Company Director at Power House of Dance. She choreographed numerous award-winning solos and group dances.  She has taught dancers from 3 years to adult, and seeks to create a love of dance and a quest for excellence in everyone she teaches. Meredith has always been passionate about dance. She grew up dancing competitively and won numerous titles and 1st overall high score awards. She understands what it takes to be a successful competitive dancer and a professional dancer. She aspires to inspire her students. Her favorite thing about competitive dance is that it gives young dancers specific goals to work toward, and helps them develop the work ethic to achieve goals. She feels this skill transfers to all areas of life, not just dance.


Not only was Meredith involved in high level competitive dance, she was also a high school standout. She was a high school cheerleader, a member of National Honor Society, and Class President her Junior and Senior years. Her senior year she was voted Homecoming Queen by her peers, and graduated as Valedictorian of her class.

Having trained broadly in contemporary, jazz, ballet, lyrical, musical theater, hip hop, tap, pointe and technique, Meredith has the ability to train dancers to achieve excellence in many different genres of dance. Come experience Meredith's dynamic energy at Centre for Dance.
