Born in Dallas, Nicole began dancing at age three and entered the competition world at age seven. Nicole has extensive training in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, contemporary, modern, pom and pointe from top studios in the Dallas area, including Dallas Power House of Dance, where she trained under Kim McSwain. In addition, she traveled to New York, L.A., and Las Vegas to attend summer workshops every year. She trained under many nationally recognized instructors such as Mia Michaels, Sonya Tayeh, Tabitha and Napoleon (Nappy Tabs), Wade Robson, Travis Wall, Justin Giles, Mike Minery and Nick Lazzarini. She also had the privilege of being choreographed by several notable names, including Ray Leeper, Joey Tarwater and Dee Caspary.
In the competition world, Nicole was a top soloist, winning numerous judges awards and titles including: 1st runner-up Senior Miss Starpower, Teen Miss Dallas Nexstar, Junior Miss StarQuest, Junior Miss IDC and National TOP Entertainer. She received many awards for showmanship and technique over the years, in addition to a Clear Talent Agency award. At age 15, Nicole was selected as Dave Scott’s dancer of the weekend out of 1,500 dancers at the Pulse convention in Austin, where she also received an invitation to Brian Friedman’s summer intensive two years in a row. She was a VIP Dancer for seven consecutive years at JUMP convention and a Breakout Artist all four years at NUVO dance convention. From the age of 12, Nicole assisted classes and eventually taught her own. Nicole performed in numerous productions throughout the years, ranging from The Nutcracker ballet to dancing at the Palladium in the Jabbawockee’s show.
Upon graduation from McKinney High School in 2011, Nicole was one of four freshmen selected for the University of Oklahoma POM Squad. In 2012, she transferred to the University of Arkansas to focus on her studies, but continued to take dance class, substitute teach and choreograph solos. She served as Activities Director for her sorority, Delta Delta Delta, and helped choreograph their competitive dance for a Greek life competition, where they won first place. During her spare time in college, Nicole found a love for helping with numerous St. Jude philanthropy events, and even visited the hospital in Tennessee. In May 2015, she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management/Organizational Leadership and a minor in Finance.
In addition to dance, Nicole is a full-time fashion blogger, With Love, Nikki, where she shares her love for helping other women look and feel their best. Nicole recently finished her rookie season as an Allen Americans Ice Angel for the 2017-2018 season.
