Programs Tailor Made for All Needs

  Our Facility

Moving classes to our new location at 2080 N. Collins Blvd, in Richardson this Spring, March or April. Our new facility is just 3 miles down Campbell towards 75 and will feature a large lobby, all sprung and padded dance flooring, large restrooms, break room and lockers for our dancers, 7 dressing rooms, and an in-house performance space.

  Our Faculty

Our CFD staff and faculty have many years of experience teaching dance, as well as a diverse training background.  Most still train and perform professionally.  When they are not teaching at Centre, they are performing for professional sports teams in the DFW area, and choreographing for teams and artists all over the country. Visit our FACULTY page for staff and instructor bios.

  Youth Program

From Creative Movement classes to a variety of classes for pre teens and teens.  If your little one is 18 months old, bring them to Centre for Dance to try out one of our children's classes.  The teachers are patient, and truly want to see your child succeed in dance.  Your young dancer will definitely learn something!  Visit our CLASS DESCRIPTION page for class details.

  Adult Classes

We offer a wide variety of adult classes.  Pro League Prep class,  Hip Hop, Femme (Hip Hop Heels), and adults are welcome to drop into any of our classes for 10 & up!  If you would like to prep for the upcoming professional dance audition season, get a head start with Geena Ngaaje or Stephanie DiBiase.  Or if you would like to just learn some cool new moves, we also have beginner hip hop classes available.  Hip hop's not your thing? Get a good stretch and develop your core in our ballet, modern, or contemporary classes. Visit our ADULTS page for details on pricing and class options.

  History

Centre for Dance opened in 2002 by Kim McSwain.  Originally located at Arapaho and Hillcrest, the studio moved to it's current location a few years later.  Many great choreographers and instructors have worked for CFD over the years, including Kim McSwain, Marty Kudelka, Stephanie DiBiase, Jenny Durbin, Roger Lee, and more!  Susan & Steven Armijo took over as owners in 2010, and in 2015 expanded the studio. In 2018 CFD once again expanded, and now in 2021 purchased and built out a spacious, state of the art location of over 10,000 square feet.
