Caitlyn Sanders McGowan

 

Caitlyn Sanders has been dancing for 14 years and teaching for 9 years. She started dancing in the competitive company at Dallas Power House of Dance and then went on to spend most of her time dancing for the performing company at The Centre for Dance, where she was captain of her company. She has been trained in jazz, ballet, lyrical, hip hop and contemporary.

 

Caitlyn has been trained by many well known dancers such as Marty Kudelka, Justin Giles, Roger Lee, Kim McSwain and Dee Caspary. Competition has always been Caitlyn’s passion and she has earned many individual and company awards at competitions. She received scholarships from Adrenaline Dance and JUMP. Caitlyn has also been trained in cheerleading and won first place with her squad from Jesuit College Prep at the 2005 NCAA Nationals.

 

After high school, Caitlyn moved to Los Angeles and received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies with a minor in dance at Loyola Marymount University. Once she got to Los Angeles, she was signed with Bloc Talent Agency. Caitlyn attended numerous auditions and booked a few shows and even got to do a music video with Paula DeAnda, but she found that after a few years of auditioning that her true passion was in teaching.

 

She began to teach at Legacy Dance Academy and started teaching the dancers in the competitive company. Then she moved back to Dallas and began
teaching at Revelation Dance Studio. After teaching classes for a year, she founded Revelation Dance Company. As the director of Revelation Dance Company, her company placed in overalls at regional and national competitions.
